My subject is quite contradictory; it demands a great deal of intuition, especially at higher levels, even though it remains objective. It elicits a wide range of emotions and can be approached in as many ways as there are individuals engaged with it, despite its rational nature. Mathematics is increasingly being applied across various fields of scientific life, and its internal development is also rapid. However, many of us perceive it as complete and irrelevant to everyday life. While it has been both beneficial and challenging for humankind for decades, it still grapples with age-old problems alongside the modern ones.
Clearly, it is a subject that divides opinions, and even enthusiasts of mathematics experience difficulties due to certain aspects, such as monotonic calculations. Undoubtedly, mathematics is demanding, yet its universal language is incredibly exhilarating. I believe we all experience a sense of delight when comprehending certain aspects of it. Personally, I find that teaching mathematics is the most effective approach to gaining a thorough understanding, and it brings me great pleasure to clarify mathematical problems for my students.
I aspire to share the intellectual excitement of mathematics with my students, in addition to the regular routine of test and exam preparations. Let's strive for lessons that are not only useful and challenging, but also joyful, shall we?
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to teach at Kőrösi, where there exists such a supportive and friendly high school atmosphere.
